The Royal Court

Meet the distinguished feline customers of Philly’s Felines.

Every cat has a personality worthy of a portrait. The Royal Court celebrates the cats I’m lucky enough to care for, reimagined as the characters they so clearly believe themselves to be—from dignified duchesses and watchful lords to fearless adventurers and devoted dinner supervisors.

Meet the court

Each member of the court appears with a royal title and a little of the personality behind it.

Every portrait appears with the owner’s permission. Only each cat’s first name and personality are shared; owners’ details and locations always remain private.

Bixi, a black-and-white tuxedo cat, portrayed as Court Jester and Thief of Hearts
Mistress Midge, a silver-grey kitten, portrayed as Princess and Huntress of the Silver Court

Her Grace Fanny, Duchess of the Velvet Lap

A natural-born boss with magnificent Bette Davis eyes, Fanny rules her household with confidence—but graciously permits devoted subjects to provide lap snuggles.

Sir Stitch, Captain of the Heated Guard

Ever watchful, Stitch takes his duties as household protector extremely seriously—until his shift ends and he retires to the warmth of his beloved heated igloo.

Bixi, Court Jester and Thief of Hearts

From dawn until dusk, Bixi lives for mischief, games and glorious nonsense. His greatest trick, however, is stealing every heart in the room.

Princess Midge, Huntress of the Silver Court

Six months old and already legendary for her beauty, Mistress Midge is a fearless huntress of feathers, shadows—and any royal ankles foolish enough to pass within nibbling distance.
